Terms of Use
TL;DR. JobPax is a tool you license, not a platform you join. Pay for Pro through the App Store; cancel any time through your Apple ID. Your data lives on your device — backing it up is in your hands (we give you a one-tap export). Use the app lawfully, treat your clients' info responsibly, and don't rely on it as tax or legal advice.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and the developer of JobPax ("we", "us") covering your use of the JobPax mobile application and the jobpax.app website (together, the "Service"). By downloading, installing, or using JobPax you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
Where you downloaded JobPax from the Apple App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the extent these Terms don't cover something. Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no responsibility for the app or its content.
2. Your license
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use JobPax on devices you own or control, for your own business or personal use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract the source code of the app except where the law expressly permits it.
3. No account, your data
JobPax does not require an account, and we do not run a server that stores your records. Your jobs, clients, photos, estimates, invoices, signatures, mileage, and expenses are stored locally on your device.
- Backups are your responsibility. The app includes a one-tap backup export (Settings → Backup & export) and a monthly reminder. If your device is lost, damaged, or erased without a backup, we cannot recover your data — it never existed anywhere else.
- Your clients' information is yours to protect. You are responsible for collecting and handling your clients' contact details, photos of their property, and signatures lawfully — including obtaining any consent your jurisdiction requires.

4. JobPax Pro — subscriptions and purchases
JobPax offers a free tier and a paid tier ("JobPax Pro"). Pro is available as:
- Monthly — an auto-renewing subscription billed monthly.
- Yearly — an auto-renewing subscription billed annually, which may include a free trial period.
- Lifetime — a one-time purchase, not a subscription.
All payments are processed by Apple through your Apple ID. We never see or store your payment details.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Cancelling. Manage or cancel any time in your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Free trials. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, the subscription begins and you're charged.
- Refunds. Purchases are refunded under Apple's refund policies — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't issue App Store refunds directly.
- Price changes. If prices change, Apple notifies you in advance and, where required, asks you to consent before the new price applies.
- Restoring. Reinstalled or switched devices? Use "Restore purchases" on the Pro screen to re-attach an active purchase to the app.
5. Acceptable use
Use JobPax only for lawful purposes. You agree not to use the Service to store or distribute unlawful content, to infringe anyone's rights, to misrepresent work you did not perform, or to produce fraudulent estimates, invoices, or reports.
6. Not professional advice
JobPax produces documents and summaries — estimates, invoices, mileage logs, expense reports, and tax-season exports — based on the numbers you enter and, where applicable, published IRS standard mileage rates. These are tools, not advice. JobPax is not an accounting, tax, or legal service, and its outputs are not a substitute for a qualified accountant, tax preparer, or attorney. Verify figures before relying on them in filings or contracts.
7. Intellectual property
The JobPax app, name, wordmark, and design are our property. The content you create — your photos, documents, client records, and business information — is yours. We claim no ownership over it, and since it stays on your device, we generally never even see it.
8. Assumption of risk
You use JobPax at your own risk. You are solely responsible for your business, the services you provide, the documents you produce with the Service, the accuracy of every figure in them, the safekeeping and backup of your data, and your compliance with the laws that apply to your work. JobPax is a tool; every decision made with it is yours.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data loss will never occur. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities — however caused and under any theory of liability, even if advised of the possibility. This includes, without limitation, damages arising from data loss, document errors, missed appointments, disputes with your clients, or tax or regulatory outcomes. Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for JobPax Pro in the twelve months before the claim arose (or US$50 if you paid nothing). Your sole and exclusive remedy for any dissatisfaction with the Service is to stop using it. Where the law does not allow these limits, our liability is limited to the smallest amount the law allows.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the developer of JobPax from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use or misuse of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms or of any law; (c) the services you provide to your clients and any dispute with them; (d) documents, estimates, invoices, or reports you create or send; or (e) your collection and handling of your clients' personal information.
12. Termination
You can stop using JobPax at any time — and because your data is local, you can export it first and take it with you. We may terminate or suspend the license if you materially breach these Terms. Sections 6–11 survive termination.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the product evolves. Material changes are versioned, and the app will ask you to review and accept the updated Terms before you continue. The latest version always lives at jobpax.app/terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the developer resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except where the consumer-protection law of your place of residence requires otherwise.
